A two-week performance training intensive for Mid-South youth
The Opera Memphis Summer Opera Intensive, in partnership with the University of Memphis, is a dynamic and immersive experience for rising 7th–12th grade students with a passion for singing and performance.
Over two weeks, students work with professional artists and educators to rehearse and stage a full production—gaining real-world experience in vocal performance, acting, and stagecraft. Every participant is assigned a role and engaged in daily coaching, staging sessions, and workshops that cover the full spectrum of operatic and theatrical production.
The Conservatory culminates in a fully staged public performance on the final day.

Admission to the Summer Conservatory is by audition only. All students are placed in ensembles and roles based on vocal development and audition performance.
